Ropa Vieja (Old Clothes) Recipe


- 600 grams of beef (for deshebrar)
- ½ onion
- 2 carrots
- 1 bouquet of herbs
- 1 clove garlic
- Parsley

Initial Preparation:

The beef is cooked in a pot with water, onion, carrots, herbs, parsley, bay leaf and garlic. Cook for 35 minutes. Allow it to cool and pull apart.



- 2 tomatoes diced seedless
- 6 lettuce leaves
- 1 radish
- Oregano
- ½ chopped onion fine
- Salt and pepper
- 4 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- ½ cup olive oil
- 1 avocado sliced
- Leaves of endive lettuce
- Lettuce Indentation
- Cherry Tomato

Preparing post:

The lettuce is diced fine. When radish is removed the heart and slice very thin. In a large bowl place the meat deshebrada, add the tomato, lettuce and onion and season with salt and pepper. It is navy with a little vinegar, olive oil and a little crushed oregano, and mix well. Let it rest for a couple of hours. We present the platter with the old clothes, sliced radish, avocado, also sliced lettuce-leaf lettuce, endive and sangria, and some cherry tomatoes cut into cubes.
